Come and stay at Marae for a while, we’re just ten minutes from Port Douglas.

This architecturally striking timber home sits on three acres with 300-degree views of sub-tropical valleys and spectacular mountains. In the distance, the majestic Mossman Gorge. Marae is secluded, but not remote.

The living area is light and spacious, with large wooden shutters opening to the valley’s gentle breezes. Take your breakfast, with fruits of the season, on the sunny balcony, sometimes with Red-browed Finches for company.

You can sleep in the airy Garden Room close to the rock pool, or nestle down in the East Room within the house. Both have stylish ensuites and king-sized beds.

Marae welcomes many beautiful birds and over 100 species have been recorded locally. It’s when you wake in the morning and hear them that you know you’re away from home. Some feathered guests include:

King-sized suites are priced from AUD$195 per room per night. Single occupancy is priced from AUD$145 per night. Both rates include a delicious tropical breakfast.
